NIES Wine Dinner!! This is it … the May Soirée you have been waiting for! A terrific season of wine tasting events will culminate with our 37th annual NIES Winemaker Dinner at beautiful Hayden Lake Country Club (HLCC) on Saturday, May 11, 2019. We are privileged to have John Freeman, Head Winemaker for Precept Wine, as our guest. Founded in 2003, Precept Wine is the largest privately-owned wine company in the Northwest. He will be showcasing wines from the Precept Family that will include Browne Family Wines and Waterbrook. John was born in San Francisco and raised in the Napa Valley. His initial work in the wine industry was seven years at Franciscan Vineyards and an additional five were spent as the cellar Master at Miner Family. Charmed by the Walla Walla Valley he moved there in 2002. From vine to bottle, he and his team carefully manage every step of the winemaking process to ensure the overall complexity, balance and consistent quality that Browne Family and Waterbrook wines are known for.
HLCC Chef Brett Fontana and the NIES dinner committee met to collaborate on creating a fabulous five-course menu to be paired with the stellar wines of Precept Wines. The selections are sure to please the palate as Chef Brett’s creations always exceed expectation and this will be a memorable meal.
We will gather at Hayden Lake Country Club for 5:45 p.m. for check in. 6:00 p.m. will be Hors d'oeurvres and wine and dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m. Take in the lovely lake views from the patio deck and mingle, while sipping a sparkling wine and enjoying hors d’oeuvres served by an attentive wait staff.
Dress code for the event is “country club summer dressy” or your best “dress for success” attire. No jeans please!
Reserved parking for NIES attendees will be south of the main entrance.
